Bill Nelson and Andrew Latimer are the most underrated guitars of British 70`s Rock, definitely... Take care, God bless... H.

I heared Bill on the John Peel show. Alas I forgot about about it (shame). a friend who worked in the Brunswick Centre record shop played me 'Like an old blues' off of the 'Sunburst Finish' LP.
What a f*cking brilliant album, and after 35 years, it is still my favourite all time LP.
There should be a statue to Bill, and he should have had a Knighthood for services to music, and making people chill.
Happy New Year Bill. Peace and Love.

What an ending to such a fantab shared link with me. The Masterful voicing of the guitars 1:23 and all through is just magical----> Love tramcars; this one looks like what I understand is a Bogie truck. (?) (Would love to ride on the top and have this tune in my ear) The Lyrics as you listen makes you feel you are Riding the streets in Yorkshire experiencing. Just magnificent Gem of a shared Masters. :-)

Great night at Bracknell with Cockney Rebel
-
Excellent solo as usual, on eevry new version I hear of this track he just seems to exceed his previous efforts. Brilliant!

How did it go, only just found the track .
Saw the band with Cockney Rebel in 74? at Bracknell sports centre - both were great.

@45spear Bill Nelson has that big, beatiful tone but he also has, as you put it, "such lyrical, beautiful phrasing". The pillow of acoustic guitars here is really nice here, too.

Yeah we saw them play at the Duke of Cumberland in North Ferriby with my girlfreind at the time who was Goth i am sure copied some heavy eye makeup lol . BBD and Axe Victim was bown away by Punk along with my girlfreind but still have all the vinyl and 45 hot valves - great days

The most beatiful guitar solo ever. More than a hint of Vaughan Williams in it.
-
Which came first - Summer Breeze by the Isleys or this? If you love one you've got to love the other it would seem to me. Both solos come from the same place.

A different live version to the one on Live in the Air Age. Such lyrical, beautiful phrasing. How is this man not worshipped and idolised?
