Oh my, its a good album and I love that Billy is honoring the troops but after hearing Taylor Hicks sing this song on his 2009 album this just does not compare. Taylor has such a powerful emotional voice and he has been singing this song to honor the troops for the last two years. Sang it at the concert to benefit Wounded Warriors and the crowd loved it at Bama Rising.

@parleyblues Thanks for the comment. Tayor's version of it is excellent also... More of a pop flavor. I prefer this one, but they're both very good... it's a fantastic song. I'm surprised none of these guys have released it as a single.

@BackToTennessee Just saw your comment. I forget to check comments. I'm just glad both of these guys are out there supporting the troops. You know, I believe that Taylor fully intended Nineteen to be a single off that album but changed it for some reason. Maybe should have stayed with it. Great song.

Why don't you listen to a far better version.... I mean... no comparison. Taylor Hicks recorded "19" on his album The Distance in 2009!

@yesitsme9 Taylor's is a great version also. Much more of a pop/Michael Bolton feel to it. I prefer this version, but both artists sang the daylights out of it... it's a great tune.
