@MnMzProductions sorry, I didn't realize my brother was signed in. If you have any comments, please direct them my way. My brother's a troll and wouldn't respond as kindly lolol.

@MnMzProductions (cont.) what gives it that grit. With the exception of Nutshell and I believe Frogs, Layne never really uses a falsetto. Also, take the notes I wrote and drop them a half-step, because the songs a half-step down lol. The difference between Layne and this gentlemen is their tessitura (timbre or colour). Often people get mixed up on the note versus the tone. I also like the unplugged better :)

@MnMzProductions I'm sorry, I think you're mistaken. I'm a vocal teacher and was in an AIC cover band for quite some time and know the music very well. Layne Staley is probably a verdi baritone, which is a baritone with the adjusted range of roughly G2-Ab4 (In chest voice (The normal baritone being F2-F4). @merlopick Jesus, I still get replies from comments I made eight months ago?
Second, it still sounds funny even with Cantrell's voice. The criticism remains unchanged.

"staley's rough sort of falsetto"??? Staley doesn't sing in the original version of this song, it is Cantrell's voice. Harmonies are done by Ann Wilson.

I like your version..

timing is a bit off

you sound good man at playing and singing

This is awesome guitar playing man. Where did you learn to play? Sounds good, job well done. I love the tool poster in the back. Keep up the good work, keep posting. - Jaymes
i always liked the unplugged version better. that chick from heart doesn't mesh with staley too well IMO. Can't really hear your guitar very well, makes it look like you're faking it till the solo. the open tenor sound of your voice is kindof clashing with staley's rough sort of falsetto. I'd try pushing with your diaphragm a bit more on the higher notes to give it a bit more power to the sound. it will make you sound more confident if you're doing it right. Cheers.
