  • Wonderful and intelligent performance! I remember Moyse teaching that Debussy, whom he knew well, wrote in what he wanted in terms of expression and rubato. So many flutists play Syrinx like a cadenza. Brava!

  • I have to agree, this is spot on. The best recording I have heard so far, despite the iffy sound quality.

    The way I understand the story this should be a lament as inconsolable as the lust of Pan.
