This documentary was first broadcast on January 24, 2010, on the National Geographic Channel. It was written/produced/directed by Virginian Chris Lofft. The BFRO advised on the production.

The documentary takes a "Legend Meets Science" approach to some of the best evidence, especially the PGF, rather than the typical documentary approach of mere interviews -- believers vs. skeptics.

It presents a mathematically-based argument establishing the validity of the PGF. Most notable, it has the best animated visuals ever made to explain the determinative anatomical issues that bigfoot researchers have been aware of for years.

The approach and results are certainly not novel. In fact they were squarely based on the prior work of Meldrum and Hajicek over the past few years. The involvement of Bill Munns in this doc helped refine the height estimate of the Patterson creature.

The big lady is 7' 6 1/2" tall.

  • @geoffwilly1725 Of course it's fun, and the Bigfoot phenomenon could become a science. What concerns me is that people would find other former mysteries (such as the gorilla) to be "boring" while we destroy their habitat. My interest in Bigfoot as a child launched my interest in primatology and other mainstream sciences, but if people are only interested in an undiscovered creature, will Bigfoot be "boring" once discovered? Learn science and protect all apes - just my opinion.

  • It is grandma Kardashian!

  • I really can't understand why it's so hard for people to just reach outside the box and believe in something. The world is boring enough as it is, believing something like this just adds a little bit of excitement to my life that makes it fun. Don't get me wrong, I won't tell you bigfoot exists, but I don't know that it doesn't. So it's fun to believe and investigate sometimes.

  • 9th :)

  • The calculus with first lense is 4 feet more~less so maybe its not an human in a bigfoot suit, but a gorilla in a bigfoot suit, so then is still a fake but pretty well elaborated

  • That is not a dude in a suit. Why is this so hard to believe?

  • That's my mother in law, not big foot

  • 5th

  • 4th

  • 3rd but first to say "Hoax"!
