This is a Diet Coke and Mentos Volcano. The challenge is to make it fast, easy, cleanable, and waterproof. All done easily and in ten minutes. You just need to let it dry then paint it.
This is my third and final volcano making project. I have the easy posterboard volcano, the intermediate paper mache one, and this dramatic one.
Lots more projects on my website at:

  • why dont you try adding some coulor into to ur coke to give it the edge

  • @JacobFranklyn99 thanks, great idea. Red would be great.

  • thanks so much 4 this video & the paint info. we've decided to try this for my son's very 1st science project. he's 8 yrs old & this is his favorite one. we watched about 10 other volcano tutorials. creative use of the insulating foam. we have tons of that left over after a room addition. :)

  • @nastypupp cool, free volcano from left over materials! You hjave fun and be sure to wear gloves!

  • like the volcano. easy, best of all no mess. but i dont have a hole saw or anything to cut the hole in wood. how about cardboard? would that work since its only supporting the actual volcano? what type of paint did u use? not water color right?

  • @nastypupp Hi, good luck! Yes i think a couple of layers of cardboard might be ok. Try to seal it with something so it doesnt get soggy. I used acrylic paints. Just got to seal it with something too.

  • @RObuilder8 It is called "Great Stuff" . It is an insulating foam in a can and they sell it at all hardware stores/home improvement stores. Good luck with your volcano!
