Demonstrating the stabilised multi-touch capabilities of a Wiimote using the software at ( http://code.google.com/p/wiituio ). This software can generate TUIO and Native Windows 7 touch events so you can use your Wiimote with pretty much most Touch Applications now. Still not tested more than two points because I don't have enough hands!!

  • Hi, extactly what are you using?...can you make a connection tutorial please?

  • @sacordovaplata I'm afraid I don't have the system any more. Working on a much cooler alternative. However, a wonderful blogger has written this cool tutorial which should make things a lot easier: blog.metasplo.it/2011/11/building-interactive-multi-touch.html

  • @lostjedi thanks a lot!

  • @Pipotron3000 Thats on the wii only 4 points....

the wiimote is just a camera so with this software u can theoretically track as many points as the pixels oin the camera can define...

  • Nice !!!

If you want to use more than 1 point on each hand, use an IR LED glove.

This is simple to make : take a glove, fix a battery older on it, fix an IR LED on two fingers and a little trigger on palm.

When you close your other fingers on your palm, it trigger the IR LEDs.

I said two fingers only on each hand, because one wiimote can only track 4 points at the same time (if i remember well).

Thumb and index are the usual suspects ;)

I will try this with windows 7 and Usine Sensomusic :D

  • very cool

  • what is that big white thing

  • Works great - you did a great job! Exactly what I was waiting for months now..... Hope, that there's a chance to play R.U.S.E. with.... :-) - or that there will be other applications or games for Multitouch & Windows 7 - it's sad story so far...

  • This is very cool. Unfortunetaly, I can't understand what are you saying. I'll give it a try on another pc.
