That's the one! :) I guess it's that, I wouldn't of intentionally done it. Just glad that the guy didn't start to pull over as I had as that'd of been pretty hairy.

Yes, I think target fixation perhaps? I've done it myself, which is why I noticed it here.

@CyclingMikey It does look like that in the video. I didn't intentionally move nearer the car, so I'm not quite sure how it happened (I don't remember going closer)...Maybe it's a bit like that thing that we go where we look, so if you watch a pot hole to avoid it you actually go towards it.
I dunno, but I didn't realise I did that till seeing the video :)

It looks like you move towards the indicating car as you shout - is that right?
-
@drsquirrel0 yeah, I think so too :P. When I realised they were just indicating incorrectly I felt a bit silly....but had they not been my yell might have been handy :)

Hahaha that kid must have thought you were crazy :p
2nd one - Similarly I often give a very short toot on the horn in this situation. I watched back some of my vids and wondered if it comes across hostile / paranoid but I suppose like the title its best not to take the chance.

@PemboCycling I think a short toot of the horn is fine. If people want to take it as hostility then that's there problem (I loved tooting for everything when in Vietnam :D - the roads seemed really quiet when I got home).
When I shouted the girl was still pulling forward, so potentially giving the yell may have stopped her carrying on.
