Part 1 Kramnik dismantles Nakamura`s Dutch Defense, but how? Was it because of the inherent weakness in the Dutch Defense?

  • If White plays Qxc3 then Black plays c5 exploiting the pin and not Ne7. If White supports d4, e.g. e3, then Black plays Nc6 and can begin preparing e5; bxc3 pressurises b7 and inhibits the development of the queenside.

  • @colourmegone thanks for participating. I would like to say that I analysed this line but didn`t have the time to include all the lines in the video. Briefly if 10.Qxc3 c5!? 11.Qe3!(not passive e3) Qc7 12.dxc5 dxc5 Ng5 which is decent for white. If 11.Qe3 Nc6!? then just 12.dxc5 e5! 13.Rd1! is also good for white. Lastly Black can try to be agressive; 11.Qe3 f4!? 12.gxf4 Bf5 13.Ra1 and white is still better.
