The Best of Crush 40 Super Sonic Songs-Open your Heart( New Mix)

Well here is another one of Crush 40's new mixes I plan to get what I've already heard from them but are new mixes out of the way first and then go on to their covers and only new song from this album.




Anyways this is the new mix of Open your heart. Well I guess it was about time they did a new mix of this song but kept it close to the original but with an improved sound. I mean the last time we heard them do anything for it was the one they did with Lee Brotherton but they've been long overdue to give the original version a little update like they did with Live & Learn and What I'm made of.

As for My thoughts, Well I can hear some of the difference but if theres one thing I miss and that I just don't feel the song is complete without its Johnny's Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhh at the end of the song (Well I don't know what else to call it but its that part at the ending) I mean I've basiclly heard the song always including that part since I first played Sonic Adventure (Well Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut version for the Gamecube to be more exact as I never owned the Dreamcast version but that shouldn't matter as all the songs are the same right?) so I've always been used to that part at the end being there. Maybe its because I'm not used to change but its still how I've always come to know the song.

Aw well, anyways this is the first time you see that I've used a Brawl Snapshot I took on My own I wanted a cool Super Sonic snapshot and I've loved how Super Sonic looks in Brawl. And I occassionaly take photos of him in that game so I looked through some I had run through the snapshot decryptor and well here is the result. I did use another one too, its really similar but its at a different angle.

This is my favorite Crush 40 song ever, just because it's the theme for the first Sonic game ever to hit the TV systems.

The very minute differences in this version is that in the parts before the main song (the "Thunder, rain and lighting" etc. parts) there is a phase effect going on there, and when Johnny sings the, uh, main parts, there's a bit of an echo.  If you've got a real good ear, it's a very nice improvement. I think the instrumentals are slightly different, too.

Oh, and the "Gotta open your heart dude!" has been super epictized.
