London Lights - Canon 7D Film

Camera: Canon EOS 7D
Lenses: Canon 50mm F1.8, Canon 90-300mm F4.5 - 5.6
Shot at 1080p 25fps, using ISO's 1600 - 6400
Edited and Graded in Final Cut Pro

A short film I shot on the Canon EOS 7D one cold, rainy evening as people made their way home by the Thames in London. The 7D's weatherproofing proved useful.

Outstanding! Very nice scenery and calm music. The image quality is just superb. And I am sure there would be applications available for Mac or PC to reduce noise in video, but oh well, despite the Big Ben and the bridge scene, it was just fantastic.

Thanks for your comments ! I maybe should of left the Big Ben scene out, but I just liked the shot., as it's just a test shoot I wasn't too worried about the noise. Which Bridge scene did you mean with noise ? If it's the one at 2:12... that's rain not noise... I have noise reduction filters on Final Cut, but for this test prefered to leave as shot, to let people judge the quality for themselves and see people's comments...

Unfortunately there's a lot of noise.. especially in the sky. For High iso 5d II is better

sauroborsi most of the noise is apparent only in the compressed version I made for the web, the original edit is pretty noise free, apart from the shot with Big Ben and the bridge that I think I pushed a bit too much in post... so noise is apparent there... Love the 5D II but lack of 25p no good for me. Cheers for checking out my vid :)

Ah okay. Sorry but I thought the Big Ben scene had a bridge underneath it. The rain was nice, and next time I'd quite like to see a zoomed shot focusing into the empty space so the rain becomes just that more visible.
