Around 1:20, Thompson references his independently obtained conservative education. If he was more than just an actor, a man reading a speech someone else had come up with, Thompson would realize that about the time he was in college, RUSSELL KIRK wrote The Politics of Prudence while Barry Goldwater wrote THE CONSCIENCE OF A CONSERVATIVE. Does this guy really expect us to see him as Reagan-esque? The savior to all conservatives? Don't insult my intelligence.
