This is a thin-walled turned vase representing various buildings at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. The wood is Bradford Pear with the vase being about 9 inches in diameter, 3.5 inches high, and having 1/8 inch thick walls. The buildings were created by removing wood using a high-speed cutter, woodburing the design, and then airbrushing color. The building designs are based on photos which I took. Vase is now in a private collection. My photography can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/45632810@N04/

Thanks for looking.
