Sweet Dreams 2009 Techno DXT Remix

Created with Fl Studio 8 XXL Producer edition. One day I was experimenting with a melody from the song sweet dreams by the eurythmics. I do not own the melody, but I recreated the melody and threw in a kick and some claps. From there I just rolled with it. I think it turned into a pretty fun piece, hope you enjoy!

I agree it's not the best. Was my very earliest of attempts at music. It's amateur at the least, but It doesn't mean I can't grow and learn more with time.

How can u ajust the volume of a patern, like the yellow stripes you have there?

You add a fruity free filter into the mixer track assigned to that instrument. Then create an automation clip for the frequency of the fruity filter. From there you can change it in the song playist as you see in the "yellow stripes". It sounds complicated but it's really not.

I'll agree somewhat. I get too anxious to pump out new songs and usually settle for 4 bar hooks. A good song has usually 8 bar hooks and 3 to 4 variants. I produced most of my EARLY songs within 2 to 3 hrs and didn't pay much attention. You get blinded by what you creat sometimes.

I've fixed that problem somewhat now and I'm growing every day. Thanks for the input but believe me I'm far from peaking as an artist. I just ask those to stick with me and before long I'll be as good as the best.

By the way, this and nexwave vid are two of my earliest creations. Around the time when I was just testing everything out. And I still plan on learning new techniques.

You remind me of myself when I read your comments. I have been using FL studio for 5 years or so, and I have grown a lot with it. But I still don't know how to use the upper part of the arrangement window, the automations, lol. Most people don't.

I found this song, because I was trying to get the notes right for my Sweet Dreams remix, but I can't seem to get the last notes right. I don't have a very good ear for notes.

Eh I can only get crippled demo software, Even if I got it I be scared about the internet thing the british govement is introducing. Any roads I can only dream about owning this software. I am gonna try and make music the hard way - learn how to use darkwave tracker software. A little bit every day or two!
