John & Lindsey (Skeye) cover "The Dark End Of The Street," which was originally written by Dan Penn and Chips Moman in 1967 and first performed by James Carr. This song has been performed by many greats like Eva Cassidy and including the film "The Commitments." Enjoy!

At the dark end of the street
that is where we always meet
hiding in shadows where we don't belong
living in darkness, to hide alone

You and me, at the dark end of the street
You and me

I know a time has gonna take it's toll
we have to pay for the love we stole
It's a sin and we know it's wrong
Oh, our love keeps going on strong

Steal away to the dark end of the street
You and me

They gonna find us, they gonna find us
They gonna find us love someday

You and me, at the dark end of the street
You and me

When the daylight all goes around
And by chance we're both down the town
Please meet, just walk, walk on by
Oh, darling, please don't you cry

You and me, at the dark end of the street
You and me

  • what type of fender amp?

  • @LinkSafari Deville 410

  • I cant get over how good you are!!! What do you use to record the audio track?

  • @gibsongod123 We use Logic Pro

  • AMAZING...are y'all recording in a stairwell?

  • @judifer Yes we are. It is a nice 3 floor stairwell that makes any small sounding recording we do deep. Most the noise you hear in our recordings are either exhaust fans or room noise.

    thank you guys. uber talented

  • You guys are incredible, you know that? Do you know how rare it is to get a singerwho can actually -control- her voice, and a guitarist whose accompaniment is... well hell, "accompaniment" doesn't even do it justice - your sounds blend, and you don't just play with each other, you play /to/ each other, if that makes any sense? Merry Christmas, have a wonderful holiday season, and thank you for your music <3

I've browsed most of your vids and i like this one the most:) You've got a wonderful voice. Perhaps you could try singing "sugar in my bowl' by nina simone? or if you've seen too many covers of that try "put the blame on mame" by rita hayworth?

    Keep it up!
