Various news reports stated that Repub strategists advised McCain to "pull a shocker" because he was down in the polls, and he needed a momentum shift after the success of the DNC. He didn't even WANT Gov. "Hockey Mom", she was his LAST choice.

So, who was "desperate" again?

Furthermore, her speech was just a lot of personal attacks on Obama (and not on the issues), and typical Repub. talking points.
