@booksyn I have a 2011 Limited Escape with 19,000 miles and *fingers crossed* no tranny issues. Acceleration was jumpy when it was new, but that went away after the transmission got used to me. Ford fixed the tranny for the V6 engine, so I would advise the V6.

@HelloMissJaNika I test drove the vehicle in FL so I don't have first-hand experience with it in the snow, but I loved the overall ride/handling of the vehicle. Thanks for watching my video -- my suggestion -- wait for the next snowfall and rush over to your local Ford Dealer for a test drive :)

In regards to the head rests- you may want to make a note that you can remove the head rests.

I love those suvs. especially the hybrids of those kinds
This is very different from my experience. The sync system works poorly. There is a piercing noise in the windshield when we travel on windy days. Ford of course has not backed us up on this issue. We travel a lot, so we have 16,000 miles already in six short months. Honestly, we can hardly wait to get rid of this dog!

@rushnut1958 Hey there -- let me start off by thanking you for watching my video. I'm sorry that you are not enjoying your Escape - sucks to invest in something that doesn't live up to your expectations. This was actually my second all-time review and I really enjoyed the Escape. Since then - I've heard lots of negative things about MS SYNC, but I have never experienced any problems while testing. Contact Ford again -- keep pushing for a solution. Tony

I'm single don't have any kids and want an SUV that will accommodate my 6ft tall, 170lb frame...I think that this car will suit my needs just fine. I love SUV's and dream of owning one one day and this is one of my options, along with the Nissan Xterra, Kia Sportage, Toyota Rav4, Jeep Cherokee Sport, just to name a few. I like the Escape a lot, I hear of all the transmission problems and such, but somehow it's still one of the best-selling SUV's of all time. Just might have to get one, MIGHT!

@booksyn Hey There! Thanks for watching my vid and for commenting! All of the vehicles listed are solid the Xterra and Jeep have more of a truck feel while the KIA and Toyota lean towards the crossover or car feel. The Escape is smack dab in the middle. I recently tested the KIA and I really liked it a lot so my advice is to test them all :) you can't go wrong with this group. Tony.

@juanda1995 Hello -- I'm sorry that I've been so slow to respond to your question. I would probably go with the Escape over the Captiva, but I haven't driven the Xtrail. I wish you luck with your purchase. Tony
