She really does turn something entirely auditory into visual art as well. She plays so effortlessly and gracefully. It's like her hands are dancing across the keys. She just makes it look incredibly easy.

I am amazed to see that back in 1996 she was already a splendid pianist deserving all that praise. To think that I only got to know her art this year - 2010 ! Oh, how much I've been missing all these years!

I disagree with this one quote:
"Lisitsa, above all, must play because the world deserves to hear her dazzling talent." - James Roos - the Miami Herald, 28-1-1996
Aside from sounding like entitlement, I know I am not worthy of such audio-bliss. I feel very lucky I get to hear her. Thank you Valentina Lisitsa for sharing your music with us. I hope many people appreciate you so much that they purchase your recordings.

It was very nice to read those reviews. She certainly deserves to be praised. I'll be attending her recital in NYC this spring. I can't wait 8^)

Thank you for posting. Valentina is without question one of the greatest. Now if only this would help book her more concerts. I have only seen her live once.
Thumbs up if you paused at least once to read any sentence in the video.

Valentina is my favorite pianist and Rachmaninoff my favorite compositor. Listen to Valentina playing Rachmaninoff is an "hypnotic experience" for me, better than any drug... lol xD...
