Love it right up the DCX line of thinking mate. This is what I do is convert classics to EV. Love the car look forword to the rest of the vidoes on this cars progress.
Thanks for the great video. You should talk to someone in Port Townsend, Washington at EV Parts (electric vehicle).....he certainly knows a lot about electric cars...he has a 32 Ford roadster, a Land Rover, a drag race Mazda rX7, mail van and others all electric. Your particular model car would be nearly unique in the US.....Morris Minors look very much like it.....they are not rare here. Isn't it unusual to have a 5 speed behind your electric motor?

I'm using a five speed because I had it lying around. The technical phraseology is "peeing with the cock you've got!" I don't actually expect to be able to utilize all the gear ratios though. I won't be using any clutch either so it should be interesting!

The motor and controller had to come from the USA because they are not available in the UK. Manufacturing in the UK is almost dead unfortunately.
