Please watch my other videos of this...
Here is an early crude prototype of a powerful plasma arc speaker / tweeter. This has now been superseeded by an efficient microcontroller based system.
Supply voltage in this design is 50V DC - HV output is approx 60KV - Be sure to subscribe, to receive future video updates on this project & others :)

  • The most futuristic speaker, and it's hooked up to a diskman. Epic

  • hell yeaaaaaaaaaaah

  • I want this video on my my210x phone.

  • do anyone have a plan who to built this?

  • @Helge129 Thank you for clearing that all up. It all makes sense now.

  • @GrudonX No, on the frequency. The higher the frequency, the higher the pitch.

  • @Helge129 Would that mean that the pitch of the sound you hear depends on the temperature of the plasma?

  • @GrudonX The arc rapidly heats the air, creating shockwaves. And sound is just that: Shockwaves in rapid sucession.
