  • oh yes! :)

  • @sarmedic8401 Didn't SWAT guys and SIS always carry .45 pistols?

  • @MrAwesomesauce101 Despite the title this probably isn't SWAT even though the instructor was at one time the platoon leader for "D-team" (aka D platoon, or just SWAT). These guys are probably in B, C, E, or K9 platoons and at the time they were using old school gear like that. Now, with 9/11 and the additional funding available because of it, these guys are all carrying 1911s, HK416s, and upgraded shotguns. Mind you, this video is from the mid 90s. Possibly before even NHS.

  • @ZombieHuntersInt Scott Reitz is an actual gunfighter who's actually worked metro/SWAT. If they come to a scene that requires immediate action, do you really think it's best for officers to hide behind the dash? Purpose is to get out of the car and use whatever cover is necessary, engage/eliminate the threat as quickly as possible, and protect human life.

  • I was a hostage in a Metro Training Scenario just a few months ago at Jefferson Middle School.

  • @ZombieHuntersInt But isn't LAPD patrol vehicle doors upgraded with Kevlar bullet resistant coating hence their training to use the doors as cover. The same method is use when officers conducts a Felony Vehicle Stop. If I am wrong, then I agree with you.

  • The trainer is a fail at vehicle training you NEVER use a squad car door for cover.. you use the engine block. it's the safest place to use My buddie and I did a ballistics test and we were able to penetrate a car door with both 7.62 and 00 buck. easily.

  • swat doesn't usually use pump shot guns usually they use semi auto benellies.

  • The instructor is good to go. "SIERRA HOTEL" obviously hes confident in his training and abilities... And those metro guys are gonna benefit for sure from that hard training...
