What's wrong with that horn? It the horn that came with the engine when it was built and should be left on there.

Yeah, I hate the horn too. One of these days I will get around to changing it, but I haven't really found a replacement that I like (I haven't looked much either).
The Hanna weekend was good for us, right around 550 riders on 6 trips. Overall it has been a very good year for us.
The SD18 belongs to a third party and is in storage. It needs a few minor things to run.

That horn is rubbish! That locomotive is beautiful however. Those tracks have been torn up east of North Judson, right?

Thought so. My dad gets the Hoosier Valley's newsletter and remember they ran one last trip to Monterrey and then tore the tracks up. The freight line that the Hoosier Valley owns (C&I) still has some SD18s in Chessie paint, that would be cool to see.

I've seen and taken still photos of the SD18. It's in great shape and has Alco trucks.
