Provides a brief summary of Laval University economics professor Bernard C. Beaudreau's recently released book, "Information and Communication Technology: The Industrial Revolution That Wasn't" where he reexamines the Solow Paradox through the prism of basic physics (classical mechanics and thermodynamics) and comes to the conclusion that ICT cannot, has not, and will not usher in a "third" industrial revolution. The simple truth is that unlike energy, information is not physically productive. To think otherwise is to violate the laws of physics.
