Watch as we demonstrate how to use our hand held electric cutter. Dual blade system prevents fabric from slipping and ensures accurate cutting of most fabric. Available at www.RowleyCompany.com

  • I can't find this cutter on the rowley website. do you still carry this item? who is the manufacturer?

  • @spiralfrontier - Unfortunately, this item is currently out of stock. But we should have them available around 4/15/11. Please visit our webstore again then or give us a call, and we'd be glad to help you. Many thanks!

  • Can it cut chipboard without ruining the blade or the motor? How do you control it so that it cuts on the cutting line without using a guide ruler?

  • @MsKathy07 - I would not recommend using the rotary cutter on anything but fabric as other materials will dull the blade faster. You could have a separate blade for fabrics and for other materials.

The cuts/cut line is guided by the user. You could use a guide ruler if needed to ensure your accuracy. We suggest keeping the bottom guard on the table and moving slowly, but a guide ruler could also help.

    Happy Sewing!

  • do these hand held units need Oil? When and how do you service them ?

    Thanks

  • Would this cut through layers of tulle easily?

  • Agreed@internetexperts. The problem lies in the demonstrator's method. She should have layered individual pieces before cutting (like tissues in a box). This would prevented bunching, and I might have considered buying the product.

  • compare this to the Skil Rotary Cutter. I want to upgrade. I assume it cuts cardboard too.
