The Samsung Galaxy Note is a new smartphone-tablet hybrid from Samsung with a 5.3-inch display. In this video I review the Samsung Galaxy Note and discuss:
- How the size of the device compares to the smartphones and tablets
- the 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED Display
- 1.4GHz dual-core processor & 'Quadrant Standard' benchmark
- Android 2.3 & TouchWiz UI
- S-Pen input and voice input

  • do you think the battery life will be good ?

  • @Atariiii1 The battery capacity is 2,500mAh which compares to 1,650mAh for the Samsung Galaxy S II and 1,420mAh for the Apple iPhone 4S. So in theory, battery life should be very good! In actual usage, I've been seeing battery drain of around 50% per day (it ends the day with around 50% battery left). So I guess it should in theory be able to make 2 days but I've not tried it yet!

  • How u feel amoled HD display is on 5.3" ?

  • @franksyed1 The HD Super AMOLED display looks pretty good, yeah :) Photos & videos are sharp, vibrant and clear. One thing to bear in mind is that it's only Super AMOLED (rather than Super AMOLED Plus) - so the subpixels are laid out differently (Super AMOLED has PenTile whereas Plus has Real Stripe).

I noticed a tiny little bit of pixelation on a HD video but in general, it'd difficult to notice on such a high-res display.

  • Don't you feel awkward holding the phone during phone calls?

  • Not a pie chart

  • I think what Samsung trying to say that this new born device between a phone and a tab will also let you make a phone call which is a magnificent thing .. but when you look at the Samsung 7.7 it will also let you make a phone call which will make it the only tab in the market that can do that .. both the note and the 7.7 are huge to carry around being that said I think it is better to go with the bigger screen .. winner is 7.7 :)

  • Thanks for the details, I m not a video recording person so hopefully it won't matter to me. Wanted to know if movies browsing and pics looks awesome in amoled. .? Great review..

  • Very expensive though, please do an article on the cheapest way to get one. Hopefully prices will fall.
