I posted this to include in a blog post I was writing for which it was illustrative. Never wrote the article, so have been interested in the comment thread here.
The line "I'm bringing Elise (sp)" (1:25) establishes two young female...friends. Later, an elderly couple says "Being married is hard..." (2:15). Next scene, one of the girls seems to agree: "Dating is hard...." (02:21). Maybe they're talking about boys...but I doubt it.
Intentional? Who can say? Speaking of male fantasies and marriage betrayed, did Bill have a hand in casting those two girls? One shudders to think.
