@4Firearms I shoot the Canon 7D, and I shoot in extremely wet and hot environments like music festivals and concerts, My camera has been wet, hot as hell, and I've never had any issues, no over heating... and I've had my camera for over a year now. I keep bumping into these old tape having Big HDV pussy farts that troll on DSLR's.. Ice packs? are you fucking retarded? and your professional? read your comment... I mean come on..

@4Firearms I am an actor and I worked on 2 commercials in the last 3 months. US Bank and Toyota Prius. Both shot with Canon 5D mark2. I was very surprised to see that.

@4Firearms says the guy with no videos on his channel.
Canon DSLR's display an overheating warning after 12 minutes of continuous shooting. Are you making films with more than 12 minute shots? Martin Scorsesse is known for long shots and even the longest shot in good fellas is only 2 and a half minutes.
HDSLR's have been used in the making of big budget productions such as Iron man 2, House and Saturday Night Live. Is that professional enough for you?

You forgot ONE THING! THE ICE PACKS!
You can spend thousands on all kinds of cool accessories, but the bottom line is DSLR's can't be trusted for professional use.
They over heat and shut down after a short time.
Try explaining to your client that although your camera looks cool, it's actually HOT and you need a break to get more ICE to pack on your camera.
DSLRs might be a fad right now, but until the makers can keep them from over heating they are just spending toys.

@4Firearms HDSLR a fad? Well, the fad has been going on for over 2 years now and you are exaggerating the overheating. I have shot shows that lasted over 90 minutes without ever overheating my 5D.
Actually, for all the gigs I have done, it over heated only a couple of times and it was with the initial firmware. So I dont see this as a major show stopper for most people.
