This is what happens when your rack collapses. Ive been doing forklift training for 25 years and installing rack for 10 I Always encourage my customers to get extra protection for the corners of there rack so the forklift hits something other then rack. It looks as thought this rack was not anchored properly or didnt have row spacers installed either. It appears but hard to tell that they had a canted leg in the tunnel which is a no no Ive looked at it ten times i cant see the frames leg and def didn't see any row ties either.... and what the hell are they doing with that duel drive pneumatic truck inside ? That truck probably weighs about 10,000 lbs alone and needs about 14' 15' to turn well at least he didnt have time to jump out Because he def didn't have his seat belt on. if he did jump well there would be nothing left of him. It appears the OHG on the lift saved his life Notice how he speeds up as he approaches the rack and the brake doesn't come on until After he has hit the rack Ive been doing forklift training for over 25 years in NJ as well if your company needs it
i saw another one this week Single sided 36" cant rack over overloaded 14 bays down in about 10 seconds no one in aisle other wise certain death
