with the jets change the button layout to alternative but leave stick layout as default so it's like battlefield 1943

conquest is the best of both worlds, you get vehiles to use or you can just stay around one of the capture points and defend

I'm a Conquest guy in BF. It's very similar to Domination in COD (which is my favorite game type) so it's the most fun for me. In Conquest if you're spawning too far from the action then you're not choosing your spawn correctly. You can spawn at your main base, on your squad mates, at mobile spawn points, or at any of the points that your team has control of. I'm rarely more than 150 yards from the nearest enemy point to capture at any given time. It's great.

yeah. after playing like 200hours of conquest and rush i palyed squad deathmatch on bfbc2. i was kicking ass like 30 kills 2 deaths. pure skillz :D
