After many trials and tribulations, the very first episode of The Game Den covers Golden Axe--one of my favorite arcade classics.
.

Sorry about the minute+ of blackness at the end--I THOUGHT I watched this video plenty of times before I uploaded it, but I guess I missed it somehow.

Unfortunately, YouTube--to my knowledge, anyway--doesn't let you replace a video, so the only way to fix it would be to delete this one and upload a new one, in which case I'd lose all the comments. So it's stuck this way, unfortunately ;/

It doesn't really hurt anything--it's just extra time tacked on with no content, so once you get to that point, just stop the video and move on to Part 2. At least now I know why Lee ended up with different preview images--wondered how that happened.

  • 4:47 what game is that?

  • @Klookko Shatterhand

  • I was gonna get a Boris Vallejo tattoo once, you know the picture of the demon, embracing the naked lady, she's got a fine ass! Lol!

  • I know which one you're talking out =P

Some company made a resin statue of that image as well, so it must be popular.

There's also an image in an X-Men comic where Cyclops and Jean Grey are embracing and I could SWEAR the pose was copied from that painting (except that Scott's hand isn't on Jean's ass =P).

  • hi, could you please tell me the name of that nes game, I have been searching for it for about 2 years, I am not joking

please please please give an answer as soon as possible

    thank you very much

  • Shatterhand?

For future reference, all the games featured in my episodes are listed in the credits in the order they appeared.

  • Cyborcat I really REALLY love you, i love how you talk, i love your passion for videogames, I love your expressions.. love love love

  • This and the X-men beat-em-up were the machines I saw the most often, mostly because they were the only two available at this campground we always went to. Other than that, though, the only gaming experience I had was with my parents' Atari 2600. And Berserk was my favorite game on that system. ^-^

  • iv never actually seen this version :( i only played the mega drive / genesis one

  • i gad this on a thing called a "Sega 6 pak" cartridge, it was pretty cool, my gennesis has seen a lot worse

  • LOL @ "Yeah, just like a hooker!"

  • Everybody wanted a gensis, but nobody owned one because of it's price.

  • That eagle has terrible skin.

  • GREAT GAME :)

  • He fully admits to doing that and he does it only to save time. If you look at his preliminary sketches, they look just as realistic as the figures in the paintings.

It's not like he's some hack who secretly doesn't know how to draw the human figure.

  • yeah, many coin-op (arcade) games were shrunk to fit onto the 16 bit systems. especially the mega drive or genesis as it was called in america
