Yeah I'm Dutch. I remember he missed a penalty against France in 1996, threw us out of the championship. The media blamed him and so did the people. Moreover, there was seperation between black and white players among the team. Everybody in the country knew this and he was the first player to speak out about this, told the truth. That didn't help him get back. Coaches thought he had a big mouth. He also declined to get back for a little while, a long time ago.
