  • Hmmm....I noticed that at 0:47 you said the Great Blue Heron is one of the cranes typically found in the backyard. However, if I'm not mistaken aren't herons (Ardeidae) and cranes (Gruidae) two different families of birds?

  • Man, you guys are good! Thanks for pointing that out. You are correct, the Great Blue is not of the same family. My bad, thanks for finding that! The other crane you can find here is the rare whooping crane. For those of you interested, herons are a bit smaller with a more coiled neck and in most, a longer, dagger like bill. They are also a bit more solitary than the cranes. Thanks again AceTalon.

  • Sorry for nit picking, I just wanted to clarify.

Anyways, great vids! I love birds and it's nice to see some of my favorites :)

  • No worries! I hate knowing something incorrect passed by me, so thanks again. Thanks for watching!

  • what was you just feeding her

  • meal worms :)

  • do more thing! this so dam cool!

  • Any zookeeper will tell you that this bird isn't tame. The only reason it gets so close to him is for food. He wouldnt be able to touch or treat the crane as a pet.

  • HOLY CRAP ORLY? (Wish i had a picture of an owl.
