After seeing this video, I think it shows what a Detroit chief should be. but all the baggage that comes with bringing film crews (48 hours/Aiyanna Jones debacle) into crime raids raises a certain level of threat.  crime rate has gone down with him out on the beat, but the fallout is just too big for Bing to keep him around.

I must admit....as a young knucklehead that used to be out there in the street of Detroit...Evans is (was) not fuckin around....he really struck fear in the hearts of dudes that played the spots.

This may have done a lot to improve the look of the city... let's be honest, everyone KNOWS there's rampant crime in our city. This may have shown something REAL (not fiction like on 187, even though that's a pretty solid drama) being done about it... oh well, now we have a mayor appointee as chief... this ought to go well.
