The Greek economy - already teetering on the brink - has taken another turn for the worse. That's the verdict coming from IMF officials. Austerity inspectors visited the country to check whether it's meeting the conditions set up by international creditors. If the demands aren't fulfilled, Greece won't get a second lifeline of one hundred and thirty billion euros. And another debt-ridden Eurozone economy - Italy - is undergoing a further round of belt-tightening, as its lower house of Parliament is about to vote for more austerity measures. Nigel Farage, MEP and leader of the UK independence party, says the hands of Eurozone strugglers are tied while they are trapped within the bloc.

  • @tacitus7 it's the opposite, the governments will acquire sovereignity of their currency, and the government will be able to deficit spend as they will be the monopoly currency issuer.

  • @healthhavencom Yes, I respect him, but the other part of the picture people need to understand is that when we let the phony system collapse, many of us will be hit hard, not just the big banks that will go bust, but all of us, if for no other reason than that the governments will no longer be able to borrow and spend. We will actually have to live within our means! Many current companies will go bust, and it will take time to build new ones to respond to the real needs of the people.

  • Protecting big government is bad news. WW3 because of it.

  • @malkaraatgw1 I'm not a UKIP supporter btw. I don't particularly support any of the parties, hence I'm bashing them. And fyi, I'm not even arguing with you about anything.

  • @Janbees The proof of the pudding is if the British Electorate had any faith in UKIP they would have had more seats in the Mother of all Parliaments. and they didnt get one. The Green Party did better. Better luck next time Nigel

  • @malkaraatgw1 Yes, and the other parties have multiple issues ;)

  • @Janbees I didnt see the UKIP have a landslide victory, they are a single issue political party

  • @malkaraatgw1 Labour, Conservative and Lib Dems are joke parties. Last party elections, they elected Ed Miliband, David Cameron and Nick Clegg respectively.

  • putin - ron - migel , nough said
