My Darth Vader Lightsaber!

I just finished my Darth Vader Lightsaber this week! I got the lightcrystal shipped from a mine in Hungary the other week. It works fine and is fully functional as you can see! :)

To be honest.., it's a replica of Darth Vaders lightsaber that I made when I was around 15 years old. I used a metalbarrel, some rubber from windshieldwipers for the grip, pwc-pipe and some random rings and metalparts for the ring and buttonparts. To put it all together I used popnits.

Now later days, I'm starting to learn some effects in the powerful program Adobe After Effects and decided to make the read beam.

It would be much cooler if it was real though.. :(

Nice saber dude. Looks fantastic. I see it's a BYB design, since you built from that, does it seem like it could be altered to hold a reference blade?

@VenomShock Thank you! I did it when I was 15. Yes it's possible to hold a reference blade! It's a hole through the whole piece ;) I managed to find the website I found the saber on!

The one I did was Style VI! There's no baseplate with a ring on mine, I used a plastic cap from a camerafilmcanister. Build your own too!! :)
