Watch Freddie E Williams II illustrate, from inception to finished illustration a Pinup of the character "Cyclone" from JSA All-Stars!

Parts 1-2 are the digital rough and Wireframe drawing, Part 3 is the traditional ink wash and inking!

Thanks!

  • How do u change your brush stroke to an outline?? Like when u worked on the shoe laces??

  • @santaswords thanks! i'll try it out and let you know how it turns out

  • @TheWillLoss click once to make a point. click on another part in your drawing to make another point. click in the middle of the line you just created to make a point there. hold down Command (if ur on mac, i think its option on a pc) and then drag on that middle point to make a curved line. then go to your Paths under your Layers bar, and right click on your work path and hit stroke path. Choose brush, and whatever size your brush is, that will be the line.

  • @santaswords i have looked around and fiddled with the pen tool for awhile, but i just cant seem to make it work! it's confusing :/

  • @TheWillLoss use the pen tool-search it up on youtube-it makes lines perfectly straight :)

  • good vid :)

  • That shift+click-y thing is a great tip. Thanks Freddie!

  • do you wanna know how i got these art skills? haha sound a bit like the joker in this vid. Question, i recently got your book and have gone digital, I find my pencils to looks great and natural but when i go to ink it it looks awful, the lines look really fake and sloppy, I work a lot better in inks but i make a lot of mistakes and would rather work on the computer, how can i improve my digital inking? thanks!

  • Thanks for the video sir! It's always cool to see how people make there art. I enjoyed it!
