I hate when bassist don't take genre, song dynamics, or tone into consideration when playing a bassline.
Bottom line, this song sounds better with a pick. The pro's use a pick. Why shouldn't he? Some songs sound better with a pick. Some worse. Go with what fits.

@Closure777 I couldn't agree more, when I play early Metallica I go with fingers and when I play Tool I use a pick. This song definitely needs to be played with a pick

cool cover :) and about picks n stuff dont worry about it, musics about making a noise, keep the instrument in tune but hit it with your dick and if it sounds good then play with your dick. haa

i unplugged from my pedal and went straight from the bass to the amp
and it was the chords not the amp

i dont remember it was a preset on my digi tech rp250 that i thought sounded really good. it was something grunge-y maybe the "greaser" one with the reverb turned off. but thats just a guess
