We're hot of the virtual press as we've just received our Nexus 7 Android tablet at Google I/O 2012. Cracking this bad baby open reveals the slim & sexy seven inch tablet. A tour of box contents reveal the tablet, micro USB cord with adapter, and getting started/warranty booklet. The tablet has tiny noise cancelling mics on top and left side (including contact points for a docking station charger), power & volume rocker on the right, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB along the bottom, and smooth rubber "Nexus" & "ASUS" engraved backing with one lone strip along the bottom for speaker (I'm interested in how the sound projects in landscape mode). Once you turn it on, it's easy to setup and sign into your Google account(s), thus your content greets you at the home screen.

This time, simply by attending Google I/O. However, ticket prices justify the cost of the hardware. Any other device we review comes to us free due to our status in the media, plus they eventually have to go back.
