Ken Keating, who is a living legend, a real working class hero and true revolutionary.
Speaking from his hospital bed in Hope Hospital in Salford.
Here Ken is talking about his experiences with the Socialist Workers Party.
The Socialist Workers Party helped Ken to learn to read and write late in his life for which he is eternally grateful for.
However, as we hear here, his relationship with them wasn't always positive!
@larrydelamb Of course, all socialists secretly want to live under sharia law... prick.

I'm not a member of the SWP but I don't understand his point, why can't council workers be civil servants? He sounds like a crazy old ultra-leftist to me.

i was expelled from the SWP today because of my views on 9/11 being an inside job. global warming being a scam and on not wanting to live under sharia law.

I like the anecdote at the end about the council workers very nice, but I think Ken was mistaken about the affections of Marx towards the poor, and that Marx was a well-to-do type who spoke like Ken's party members did about the poor, that is as an elite.

Ooh big mistake Ken, you shouldn't question the SWP, otherwise you are a racist-bigot-nazi-islamaphobe-misogynistic-neoliberal-fascist-antisemite-patriarch!!
Great interview.
I was a member of the SWP for a few months, there were nice people there, but couldn't stand the ever growing stench of bullshit, hypocrisy and plain sneakiness amongst its members.
Kids, if you're reading this, don't join. The older members have ideals that they don't tell you. You are merely their henchmen.
