"The Abbeville Boys" WW2 mission played on Expert difficulty in Chuck Yeager's Air Combat.
This is one of the hardest missions, and what's more it's the very first of them, so it's surely frustrated a lot of people. It has you in a lone P-51 Mustang against two Me-109s, then two pairs of FW-190s arrive on the scene.
I don't follow Yeager's advice in this one, but avoid any combat at first, and try to use the Mustang's greater power to circle above the enemy where they can't get their noses up to hit me.
At high altitudes the Mustang can outperform its opponents. Always engage the plane that's followed you up the highest, and don't get suckered into diving after the stragglers.
