I fuckin' hate those quasi-strikes and attacks they perform in a most Aikido schools. They do not represent normal and obvious movements of attacking person, no matter trained or not. Lame and gay.
Good demo video for instructional purposes. Seems like some of the viewers would like to see more of a free-sparring video, which would be cool too, but not the purpose of this video, which is about learning the techniques.
Having trained in Tomiki aikido myself, I know the techniques are effective and versatile in a full-attack mode but are hard to keep smooth and slow enough for instruction in that case.
This is Randori and when you have learnt Randori it gives you basics to work with. You have to know all 17 on left and right side when your only 4 belts in. Plus a lot of other things. As for effectiveness Sumi Otoshi alone is potentialy fatal as someone who doesnt know Aikido would land on their head.
what a bs conversation....it's about concepts here....done with 'bad intentions' this is about intercepting incoming aggression and you could eventually (and easily!) break arms and backs with these techniques....
slow or sloppy techniques don't mean the techniques itself don't work...and funny you mention tea 'know' do since it really proved ineffective in most competitions except it's own....lol
@itachi123100 huh, looks cool, but there are very questionable, ineffective throwing techniques and this bs again with giving a hand to your opponent . Yes it's kata, I understand, this is needed for demo, but why so... feigned, unnatural?
Still it looks really nice, much better, then original Aikido. Thanks.
Looks a little painful, I know that looks like good etiquite, but 17 break falls I need 17 of those soon. Good work.

I think something in the kamae, zanshin and ma-ai of these two is putting viewers off.
nothing wrong with the techniques themselves. Just seems to be lacking feeling.
