I agree that Lesley Duncan's original is still my preferred version. Elton John played piano for her on that version and then made it famous as part of Tumbleweed Connection. David Bowie also covered it. It was touching that both EJ and Bowie sent flowers to Lesley's funeral.

Just more proof that here record companies let her down. Most people think of her as a country singer and from Grease. Such a shame that she is not know for singing great songs like this. This should have been the A side!
