Say your employer provides you with a company car. Then you decide to go work somewhere else. Think you can just take the car to your next job? Same exact thing.

Apparently Bret said he told Shawn Michaels he would lose the belt to him if the storyline called for it, he was speaking hypothetically, well before the screwjob. However, the Hitman said that Michaels refused to do the same for Bret. Hence Bret not wanting to drop the belt to Michaels and especially in Canada. Would it have been too much to ask Vince McMahon that his top wrestler and most loyal wrestler from 1992-1997 have the belt for one more night before dropping it on Raw?
