My favorite game of all time!! Video capture of the Super Pacman bonus stage on M.A.M.E. Not my best bonus score, but then not too shabby either. Once I get the capture settings configured a bit better, I'll upload some screens with easy to memorize patterns so even you too can be a super pac pro.

  • Is it just me or is the speed of the super pacman faster than it should be.

  • @879500 There are 2 versions of Super Pacman. One by Midway, and one by Namco. The Namco version (seen in this video) does indeed go faster when you press the speedup button. So yes, this might be a bit faster then what you have seen before. But the Namco version is so much more fun to play !!

  • @Phreakwars Are you using some kind of cheat to make your man move faster, I checked this out on MAME and played the Namco version, I am taking into account pressing the super speed button the whole time. With a sub optimal pattern you are able to achieve 11300 bonus points, I have played this game to more than a million points, and reached stage 85, I have researched many possible bonus stage patterns and the best I ever came across was 9200 bonus points.

  • @879500 Nope, no cheats. And yes this is MAME but I have achieved this score (actually my highest is 11,700) many times at the arcade as well.

  • @879500 This was done using superpac.zip not superpacm.zip The roms used are sp1-1.1b sp1-2.1c sp1-6.3c spc-3.1k spv-2.3f superpac.3l superpac.3m superpac.4c superpac.4e dip switches set at easiest or "0"

  • @879500 I guess one thing I have noticed through the years about the Pac-Man games, is different arcades had different versions. Like a place I used to go to back in the 80's had regular Ms. Pacman, while if you went to the Kum & Go, they had a Ms. Pacman with the speed up hack and a hot pursuit button which changed the gameplay . Super Pacman was another one where you would see these modified versions. The version I remember playing at the arcades, is exactly the one I am showing in this video.
