This is what Stephanie Meyer should have said:

    "Don't write like I do."

At a conference Stephanie Meyer said, "The God of Writing sent me to Earth to show people how to write!" When J.K. Rowling heard thi she looked at the ground, puzzled and said, "I didn't send anyone."

Wow, I admire a lot of the people commenting on this video. Even though they know how *easily* SM became rich they will not copy her formula of success because they think too highly of literature. They *could* do it (and *way* better than SM) but they choose not to. Such intelligent and highly scrupulous people are the true heroes of the writing world.

Wait, what was the advice again? Oh, that's right she didn't give one, she was only complaining as usual.

So...what was the advice? All I heard was her complaining about her not having enough time to write and how worldwide fame and infinite wealth are not as glamorous as they seem.

So she wrote her own relationship/sexual fantasy about being with a sparkly, neutered vampire for her own pleasure and teengirls around the world ate it up (because they probably didn't have much good literature to compare it with) and made her rich and she has the nerve to complain about it?

A real writer takes the time to write because that's their job and they don't take every chance they get to go on the red carpet. But at least as long as she's there she's not writing any new atrocities.

Meyer: I believe that if you want to be a good writer, don't read my shit. If you want to get published, learn how to take a dick in your ass and have no dignity.

Nope, she's not learning to write better. SMeyer stated herself that she hates critique, and that is why she did not take a creative writing class.

So offensive to people who take writing seriously. Yes critique can hurt but it is the only way you are going to get better.

This is also the same person who bashed all the literary greats saying Twilight is better than all of them. L.M. Mongomery, Jane Austen... she thinks she is better than them.
