  • Nice !! is this the 5 servo version?

  • @Trooper101st

No, just the 4. Landing gear just slows you down......

  • hi just bought one airframe only and upgradeing with Cyclone Power 'Red Velocity' 4300Kv (750W) 64mm edf but cant find cg position on instruction can you help

  • I have done exactly this conversion myself. Make sure you use a 30C to 40C or better still 35C to 45C pack of at least 2250mAh capacity. The pack you use makes or breaks this conversion. DO NOT bother with a 3s pack as it does not do the conversion justice. Try to get a good quality / light 4s pack.

  • I am using a 35C to 45C 2250mAh 4s pack and I get 3 mins of mixed flying. However this is an absolutely nuts 3 mins. Choose your pack carefully and it will fit straight in the standard place with no mods. Remember you must fit an uprated OPTO ESC of at least 60A and a separate BEC (cos the standard ESC is pants and does not support 4s). You will not believe the performance change. Unlimited vert if you keep the weight down. I'm registering ~800W and ~1200g of static thrust.

  • As for the CofG position it is at the standard setting of 225.0mm forward form the TE of the wing at the fuselage / wing intersection.

One more thing is, if you have the ability with the receiver you are using, take out the Y-leads while you are at it and hook up each servo to a separate channel, you can then utilise flapperons (advised with the increase in weight and therefore higher landing speeds) and also mix the elevator / aileron channels for some crazy flying.

    Good luck.

  • Thanks for quick reply ,I am changing the y leads as the ones fitted stopped working when i was setting up the elevator

  • You said it ;)

  • Quality maiden flight. Camera work's a bit sketchy, as usual.
