"Can.... Can you feel that?"
He raised his head from looking at his phone. Him dressed in his thick black coat that made his arms look so tasty. Me in my bright pink poofy coat that made me look like the marshmellowman, but it was so cold I didn't care. He was wearing a hat. He hardly ever wore hats, it was always his brothers with the hats, he looked funny, to me. All the other girls couldnt stop staring at him, or me for that matter. But i suppose they were only staring at me because I was with him, but oh well. The road to school was getting crowded, the normal hustle and bustle. People were still talking about the little revelation posters. I hadnt confronted Steph yet. She hadnt shown her face in school since that day.
"Joe seriously did you feel that?" He looked around.
"No but i saw it."
We both smiled.
"SNOOOOOW!" Joe ran into the road and started doing a ballet dance. He was a strange boy.
They started closing the school gates as the snow began to fall hard. The road was turning white. Nick came running out to greet us.
"SNOW DUDES SNOW. LIKE SNOW. SNOWSNOWSNOW."
"Snow?!? Seriously where?!?"
"Your sarcasm is not appreciated miss macqueen."
"Oooo ok" I smiled he smiled back.
"How about we go back to ours, get into our snow stuff then go down the golf course." Said joe.
"What about me?!?"
"You still have your snow stuff at ours from when we went skiing." Said nick. He looked at me and blushed. That skiing trip was. Well. It made us both blush.
"What going on?" Joe said looking at us suspiciously. Like I was going to tell him.
"Oh nothing come on lets go." Said nick he smiled cheekily at me. Gosh that smile could make me do anything. ANYTHING.
"Its all...... gooey and ewey."
"Gooey and ewey? Is that even a sentence."
"Its a combination of words joseph. That makes it a sentence"
"You can borrow some of my clothes if you want."
I stared at the box of wet skii clothes. Fungi was covering my favourite coat. Nice.
"Are you sure? If we're gonna go sledging I might ruin them."
"Its ok, ive got plenty more."
He led me to his closet and opened the doors.
"OH MY GOSH JOE!"
"What?!?"
"You never told me your closet was a door to the secret land of narnia!"
I stared around his closet. It was massive. Seriously.
"Joe can i..... can i live here? please?!? This thing is bigger than my house!"
"Very funny, here." He handed me some pants and a sweater.
"Your kidding right." I stared at them, they looked like something a tramp would wear.
"Your giving me this crap?!? Youve got dolche and chanel in here, i want them not your dirty leftovers." I smiled. "Im kidding." I looked at the jumper, it had joseph jonas written on the front right side in little letters. It was his school football sweater.
"Nonononononono." I gave it back to him.
"What?!?"
"I cant wear that."
"What why?!?" He looked confused.
"You once gave that sweater to... urm well, you know."
"Steph."
"Steph." I stared at the floor embarassed.
"So what?!?"
"If she sees me wearing that she'll go wild." I thought about what I had just said and smiled. "This sweater will do just fine."
We came over the hill and saw a mass of people. Me, Kevin, Joe and Nick with frankie running behind.
"You look worried." Nick said.
"Im not." I tryed to smile but to be honest "im shitting a brick." I stared wide eyed. My narrating of life had now gone public.
"What?"
"Oh nothing, i meant to say that in my mind but it slipped out. hah. ha." I laughed awkwardly.
The golf course was way crowded but i recognised a big group of people by a hill next to a big frozen lake.
"Comeon lets go."
"I think ill look after frankie" I said.
"Oh comeon dont be a spoiltsport." Joe said. He looked sort of disappointed in me.
"Well someones gotta look after him." I grabbed for him but he had gone.
"Whatever just leave him, he'll be fine with his friends." Nick said.
"He's your brother."
"Who cares?"
"Your a dick"
"Aw thanks babe."
She was there. Standing there like the bloody queen of sheba. I grabbed her arm and pulled her aside.
"What the hell do you think your doing, putting those posters around school. I bet you think your pretty funny."
"Touch me again and ill break your shit off ok."
"You want me come and get me bitch."
I backed up preparing for a fight.
"Aj what the hell are you doing?!" Joe shouted.
I backed further and further away. Waiting for a fight. I wanted to hurt her so bad.
"AJ GET AWAY FORM THERE NOW!" Nick shouted. I was very confused.
"What the hell are you on about aj, ididnt tell anyone."
"Dont tell me lies bitch, i know it was you."
"It wasnt me!" She shouted. She looked worried. Scared of me. Blatently.
"Who wasit then? Santa? The sex fairy? The porno director of Lakeside High school?"
"It was Nick."
"What?"
I plummeted through the floor beneath me and felt nothing but cold, sharp, mind numbing pain. Blackness.
