This is my current watercooling project. It was filmed with a Canon S5 IS with the mic volume at maximum volume and with the wind noise filter off. The camera was at 10cm (~4in) from the computer.

To show you how quiet it was I made some noise during the recording.

Not sure why, here on Youtube, after the mouse click sounds the volume goes up quite a bit, on the original video this doesn't happen, probably some sound processing made on the upload.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. Dont forget to visit www.silentlife-project.com where you can see some pictures and the specs of the machine.

  • Water cooled chip... big radiators on the ram, and watercooled GPU.... nice

but what did you do to get the PSU quiet, all the PSU's able to run a top rig (Say a kiloWatt ideally) seem to be as noisy as hell - what PSU are you using here?

  • I haven't done anything to the PSU, just selected one of the quietest ones in the market, a Seasonic S12-500w.

The computer also as a very low power consumption, at idle the total components beeing powered by the PSU only use 84w, so there's almost no heat produced and the fan spins very slowly.

    Sorry for my poor english.

  • wth? It looks like thers only one tube going to the CPU. Correct me if im wrong...

  • It's hard to see on the video, but it's there. Check the website for some pictures.
