I worked on VOP in 1980. Did everything, deckhand, cook, even did the classical programme for a short time. Loved every minute of it.

i was also a dj in 1989. Ricky v, went on to be rico on radio caroline. vop was fun, sleeping with cockroaches, the things we did!!! my mate chris jumped off the ship for a swim and the filipino captain chased him round the deck with a knife!! memories....
