R4i 3DS Gold Confirmed Working on 3DS 2.1.0-4U

This video was done to show that the R4i 3DS Gold still works even with Nintendo's new update.

The real reason I made this video was to experiment with Sony Vegas's render options. I wanted to see if the 1080i render option, when uploaded, would use up the entire youtube player.

@MrStompingshadow It's possible that you upgraded from standard R4 to woodR4, by default R4 is set to save as a .sav file woodR4 is set to save was .nds.sav. Just add .nds before .sav on all your saves and they should work.

can you please show me exactly what is on your micro sd card because every firmware that i try does NOT work. it shows a spongebob atlantis icon and then when i click on it it says loading with a happy face for a second and then it says MENU? with a sad face. HELP!!!

@Midna3689 me too my r4i gold card was working perfectly before the update, but after the update it says it doesnt work, so i downloaded a new kernel for it, but it too doesnt work. now i dont know what to do. and i wasted my money on it. now its just a junk card in my collection.

@ShoeMage Sorry about the pointless purchase. Unless you're willing to wait for an update for it to work, you're better off buying another card. From the small research I did only the cards R4i Gold 3DS, Acekard2i, and SuperCard DSTWO are working. If your card advertised compatibility with 3DS, then it might've been lying.

Basically, I've got a R4i SDHC card, but none of the available firmware's seem to work. Whenever I insert it into my 3DS, (or any other DS for that matter) I am greeted with a picture of a mini-sd card, with the caption "Menu?". I've tried literally, every single firmware in existance. All give me the same error. I am so very close to luzzing the fucking thing out the window.

Just to be on the safe side im not really sure about this but, does ver. 2.1.0-4u will break my 3ds when i put R4i-SDHC 3DS in. Or it just wont show up on 3ds screen load up.

@NarutoandGaraa I'm not sure if it patches the card itself or files onto the card. I'll upload the files on mine, just copy them onto your microsd and see if it works. If it doesn't then you're pretty much screwed unless you can borrow someone's ds to do it since you can't without one.

@YinYang1st what if i dont have a ds console? is there way i can i patch it on my computer then install on my micro card? It be whole lot easier because i don't have ds system. i traded my old one for the new 3ds system for 119.00.

@NarutoandGaraa If it worked previously then you shouldn't have to download anything. If not, then you'll need another ds, 3ds or otherwise, that your card can work on. Then download Wood R4 v.135 and DSi V1.43 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS. Run the Patch on the other ds then it should work on the 3ds now. You can also download r4i gold kernel near the bottom of the page but I prefer wood r4.

Ok on that website r4ids.cn, do i download the WOOD R4 V1.35 and the The DSi V1.43 Patch for R4i Gold Non-3DS or the The DSi V1.43 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS and put it in my root of my micro card?

Hello i have R4i SDHC Gold 3DS. And will it crash if i put my card into the 3ds with the 2.1.0-4U version. Becasue i dont wanna brake my 3ds. and please tell me all the link to upgrade my r4i sdhc gold 3ds card. I want to able to play pokemon white on it too.
